Yarn Spinners is a place for students to develop friendships while learning the ancient art of crocheting and knitting in a safe and accepting environment where discussion is open and respectful. In its sixth year, Yarn Spinners has evolved into having 4 veteran mentors (ambassadors) and a new excelling member. Yarn Spinners is sponsored by Mrs. Giovannelli and Mrs. Gonzalez. One student shared how much fun it’s been to learn these new skills. She is a new member of the Yarn Spinners this year and has transferred her skills learned there and applied them to creating yarn animals! Any one of these members can be found knitting and crocheting in their free time. Some even choose to eat their lunch in Mrs. G’s room so they can continue to create!
