K-Kids/Conservation Club Making a Difference!
The K-Kids/Conservation Club is finding ways to help one another and our community through acts of service and a commitment to reducing, reusing, and recycling. This month, our club members created posters to promote Socktober – an event where brand new socks are collected and donated to The Salvation Army.
One third-grade member shared, “We’re donating to the homeless in our community because they need warm feet.” Another added, “It’s our goal to help our community. Older people sometimes need things like socks. We can help them with that.”
A big thank-you goes out to our sponsors, Mrs. A. and Mrs. D., and to all of the students for making our school a more caring and community-focused place!
If you’d like to contribute, new socks are being collected until November 21st.
