This week has been chilly here in Villa Park, but that didn’t stop us from having fun! We kept ourselves toasty on Monday, one of the coldest days of the winter, by warming things up with Hawaiian Day. Students donned their favorite sunglasses, grass skirts, floral leis, and flip-flops. One student even showed up with a pineapple-shaped water bottle! Our day of fun was concluded with a whole school limbo contest.
We also celebrated our 100th day of school this week by dressing up as 100-year-olds. Canes, grandma glasses, white hair, and vintage flip phones galore! The entire school joined in on the fun, and many classrooms marked the milestone with engaging 100-day-themed math activities and stories.
We are so grateful to have shared these past 100 days with such an amazing staff, students, families, and community. We’re excited for all that’s still ahead!
