On December 21, K-3rd grade students of North Elementary School’s Transitional Bilingual Education program and their families celebrated Posadas with a gathering in the gymnasium that featured student performances. For the first time in three years, families gathered for the tradition that North’s United Focus Group first introduced to the school in 2014.
After the performances, students and families enjoyed traditional treats, including conchas, tamales, hot chocolate, and lemonade. Thank you, Mrs. Arias, Ms. Gonzalez, Mrs. Jones, and Ms. Garcia, for choreographing the performances. Special thanks to United Focus Group member Nancy Taboada, who helped lead the planning and organization of the event. Way to go, Penguins! What a spirited celebration!
