Penguin March Reading Madness Is Here!
This March, our literacy leader, Mrs. Carpenter, is launching Penguin March Reading Madness. This is an exciting, schoolwide reading event! Over four weeks, students will read, listen to, and discuss books in a fun bracket-style tournament during lunch, voting each week until one title is crowned the Penguin Reading Champion.
This event is designed to build excitement around reading, strengthen comprehension and discussion skills, celebrate different styles of writing, and encourage family reading at home.
Families can join the fun by reading together (in any language), helping their child vote each Friday, and visiting the local library to explore featured books. Each week, we’ll announce a winning title, and participating families will be entered into a raffle to win a book!
